  • Re: EOS Offline encoder bug?

While 202 is not patched, does the channel exist in Patch and on your live screen? In other words.. does 202 have a tombstone around it or is it just a grey number (see picture below)? If it does exist in patch, I would think this is your problem because even though the channel isn't patched, the...

  • Fixture personality notes available at console?

Would it be possible to get the information from the fixture release notes (specifically the User Notes field) available on the console when patching? This would be a great help in making sure that the fixture is set up properly and perhaps help to mitigate some of the "this personality doesn't...

  • Non Dim

I've recently learned that patching a channel as a generic non-dim doesn't actually give the function one would expect. In other consoles I've used with non-dim as a type, and in ETC products like Sensor racks, non-dim is full at x%. On Eos/Ion, it's a hot patch, always on. To get the...

  • Need help - Newbie

Greetings All, I am not a lighting professional. I a computer programmer by trade, and a audio/video hobbits. I volunteer at my church to run our lighting system. By watching the tutorials and reading the books I’ve learned how to run the SmartFader ML for our purposes. We currently have 4 Intelligent...

  • Change Fixture Type For Multiple Units

Is it possible to tell the Eos/Ion to find fixture type A and replace it with fixture type B? We've had issues where a student has patched the show only to discover that they used the wrong profile for a fixture. This isn't a big deal with one or two fixtures, but 24+ units that aren't channeled...

  • Paperwork for SF consoles

Has anyone created some paper/notes layouts for basic SF consoles? (ML is just another world.) Before I make my own, I thought someone might have at least gotten started. What I am looking for is a format for noting what the various sliders and mems are doing to aid an operator during an unscripted event...

  • Re: Colorblaze 72 patching on Eos

Thanks Anne, As to the patching I sort of meant like if you had say, 12 colorblasts that you had on a rig in a line that you wanted to patch sequentially from channel 1-12. Why can't you [on the Eos] say, for instance, 1-36 @ 1-12. To accordingly patch attributes 1-36 into channels 1-12?

  • IND 1 & 2

  • Ion Patch Questions

First, I cannot find a "move to" softkey option in patch, am I just missing it or is there not actually one? I made a macro as a work around which worked, but it seems like there should just be a softkey as it would save a couple keystrokes. Finally, when I patch an address to 0 or do channel...

  • Re: Importing Lightwright into Ion

I am using ION offline on a PC, but what I just tried worked for me with a show that had only conventionals. In lightwright I exported the file as ASCII Soft Patch, but when I saved it to my usb stick I put a .asc after the filename I wanted (it was testpatch.asc). On the ION I then went to Import, USITT...
